Grant & Regina Cail

Grant grew up in Benin, West Africa until the age of 14, when his missionary family returned to the United States. Prior to joining PAZ in August, 2002, he lived in Waxhaw, North Carolina, where he worked as a nurse in a Level 1 Trauma Center Hospital. His home church is Calvary Church, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Regina was born in São José dos Campos, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, and has worked with the mission since 1981. Before coming to Santarém, she worked as a short-term missionary in Goiás. Regina attended Capernwray Bible School in the United States and studied agricultural engineering in Santarém.

Grant and Regina Cail are presently based in Manaus in the state of Amazonas, Brasil with Project AmaZon. Their current ministry role is to support the nationals in the area of discipleship, missions and church planting. Jesus has commanded all believers to make disciples through the great commission in Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” The key is in verse 20…. being obedient to all of Jesus commands. We must obey ALL of Jesus commands if we are to truly advance God’s kingdom here on earth!

Grant is responsible for the Manaus-based Water Filter Project and helps provide transportation and logistics for the bi-weekly mission trips to the interior and occasional health clinics. These projects are tools to enter communities/villages in the interior for evangelism, discipleship, and church planting, beginning with cell groups. The Manaus base for Project AmaZon is responsible for Amazonas, which is the largest state in Brazil — larger than California and Texas combined! There are literally thousands of communities in the interior that do not have a living witness of Jesus in their community.

Besides taking care of Grant and the home front, Regina is co-director of the church library, disciples various women and teach’s in our cell group.
