Pablo and Colleen Fast are based in Manaus, Brazil as Mennonite Mission Network associates, and have been with Project AmaZon since September, 1990. Pablo is the son of Wycliffe missionaries and grew up in Peruvian Amazon. Colleen, the daughter of Walter and Doris Smeltzer, grew up in the Midwest. They met at Hesston College.

The Fasts

Prior to joining the mission, Pablo and Colleen lived in Peoria, where Pablo worked as a nurse at Zeller Mental Health Center and Colleen taught private voice and piano lessons.

Their daughter, Natasha, lives in Kendallville, Indiana with her husband, Nick Hayden. Fyodor Lowell Hayden was born November 24, 2009.

Pablo and Colleen are on the leadership team of the Paz Church in Manaus and oversee church planting on the rivers. Colleen is also involved with the worship and dance ministries
