Survey Trip to Venezuela
14 January 2012, 10:38 am | from The Hrubik Family Blog
Dear Friends and Family, As part of our outreach to the whole Amazon Basin which comprises parts of various countries besides Brazil, we are planning a survey trip into Venezuela to seek God’s direction in opening our work there. We already see God’s hand at work. The Venezuelan Consul to Brazil who lives in Boa Vista, the capital city in the state of Roraima, is a Christian and member of our church there. He volunteered to accompany us on this trip which will facilitate our trave...
The First Moments
12 January 2012, 1:47 pm | from The Reu Crew
The clock was about to strike midnight. The place was packed for a very unique New Year’s Celebration — the tradition of bringing in the New Years on our knees, as a church, seeking the Lord and thanking Him for the previous year of provision, growth and blessing. As we gave the first moments of the year to the Lord, we are thrilled at the thought of what He is going to do this year. His promise in Proverbs 3:9 — Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. You...
2012… Already?!
11 January 2012, 6:20 pm | from Josiah & Jennifer Huber
Wow! It’s hard to believe we are in 2012 already! I remember when I was a kid I was sure we’d have flying cars by now, and although I am sure there are somewhere in the world, God has called me to a life that is in some ways 50 years behind technological advances elsewhere, and I’m more content than ever. Although a flying car sure would make church planting and supervision more efficient… and pretty cool. We trust you all had sweetly blessed Christmases sprinkled gene...
God’s goodness
31 December 2011, 9:06 pm | from Katie Ackerman
It’s hard to believe that today we are wrapping up the year 2011! As I look back on this past year, all I can say is God is SO good! He truly has done great things. Here are some of the highlights: January – completed a course by Youth With a Mission on inner healing and deliverance, which is such great training to have when working with people in the clinics and in discipleship Pastor ordination February – traveled to our base in the neighboring state of Amazonas and ministere...
What happened in 2011 and pictures!
29 December 2011, 5:38 pm | from Isaiah & Erin Huber
Here’s a quick synopsis of what has happened in our lives in 2011. Ministry-wise, we started out the year getting involved in cell groups and beginning to disciple some new believers. We were faithful members of the cell group and helped it grow until it multiplied and we became the leaders of a new cell group at our own house. Praise the Lord that this new cell group also grew and new leaders were raised up so that it has multiplied as well. Long story short: we are now leading and...

Dear Family and Friends, This year draws to an end, and our hearts are full of thanks to God for His love and goodness towards us again this year. For a quick update: * In November, we had our yearly youth/young adult camp with the theme of LOVE and a focus on missions. God moved mightily, and we heard many testimonies of young people whose hearts God set on fire for missions! * In December, we had a church baptism with over 100 people getting baptized! A girl from one of our cells, Bea, w...
Merry Christmas!!!
24 December 2011, 4:12 am | from The Gregory Family Blog
Merry Christmas to you!!!! Our family, except Micah, who traveled to the states earlier in the year, have been on furlough for almost 4 months. We have been extremely busy but have have had LOTS of fun and wonderful fellowship with our family and friends. We loved arriving in the states late summer after most of the hot weather had passed. We immensely enjoyed the fabulous fall weather and the absolutely beautiful fall tress. The leaves were vibrant with a range of colors. The pumpkin ora...
Orivis and a Landmark Event in Santarém
13 December 2011, 7:50 pm | from Claire's Corner
Two weeks ago I set off on a 6 hour boat ride to the community of Orivis alongside a team from New York state, fellow missionaries and our brazilian team. Our goal was to work on the beginning stages of a wooden church building; as well as, evangelism in homes, children's activities and services at night. Each trip my roll is slightly different but generally I work with children or do home visits. This time I was on the "construction crew". We carried a lot of wood. It was hard work in the...

Urgent Need
8 December 2011, 10:50 am | from World Turners
Dear Friends, I (fritha) just returned from taking Jeff to the airport. He is flying to be with his family. His Dad has been doing poorly physically for the past month or more and is back in the ICU in Atlanta. He is in stable but critical condition. Jeff and I both prayed and both felt peaceful about Jeff going to support his family. So yesterday we bought a ticket and by 12:30 am he will be in Atlanta. His return ticket is for Dec 31st. So we will be Christmas-ing apart this year. We had the c...
Changes in the Horizon
7 December 2011, 12:24 am | from Ken and Isaura Orr
2012 brings a few changes to our ministry, as we will be working very closely with the mission department of the PAZ Church here in Santarém. To that end we will … … be ordained next week, along with other missionaries and church workers. … be limiting our involvement with the cell groups ministries in the city. … be passing some of our current responsibilities with the Health Ministries to others, but will remain as overseers. … help organize various aspects of the mission depar...
A little report about Japan
22 November 2011, 7:55 pm | from Paul's Sweet-Awesome Updates
those "I'm in Japan" momentsWow, just realized my last blog was from our first week in Japan! What an amazing trip, and I wanted to just share a little of what God did through your prayers and giving and our lives there in Japan. First of all, our plans changed a lot from what we thought we would be doing. Instead of staying in Iwaki for 5 weeks straight, we ended up going back to Noborito every weekend to be with the PAZ churches, participating, learning, sharing, teaching, and e...
