Inauguration in Venezuela

Ribbon Cutting!

Ribbon Cutting!

Dear Friends and Family,

What an exciting weekend as the PAZ church held inaugural services at the newly rented facilities in Maturim, Venezuela! Since our survey trip last year, God has richly blessed our team of dedicated workers with growth that made their existing meeting facilities inadequate. After just one year, 80 to 100 people regularly attend the Sunday services and 10 cell groups meet during the week!

After a ribbon cutting ceremony outside the building, the people moved inside to worship the Lord for His wonderful blessings and to call upon His help to reach that area for Christ. God’s presence was evident as 150 people particpated in the services and 10 people made decisions to follow Christ!

Going into the new church

Please join us in prayer for the church in Venezueula. With the death of President Chavez there is considerable confusion about the future of the country. Our pastor said that there are long lines at the supermarkets and people are hoarding supplies in preparation for any turmoil that may develop. Pray for the transition in leadership and that the new leadership will be open to the spread of the Gospel. Pray for unity among the body of Christ and God’s favor upon the nation.

Rejoice with us for God’s work in Venezuela!
